Inspired by the principality of Sealand (a WWII fortress 6 miles off the british coast that declared its independence in 1967) Danny Wallace set about establishing his own country. This miniseries follows his hilarious efforts from trying to invade an inhabited island in the Thames (with his mate Jon, a supermarket security guard) to the liberation of his own flat and the acquisition of thousands of citizens for the brand new country of 'Lovely'.
