A semi-biographical, experimental short film about a woman who has just recently lost the man that she loved dearly. The filmmaker, Eli Hayes, who lost his father to esophageal cancer back in 2012 dedicates this film to his mother, who knows grief all too well. Here Even So, a silent, non-narrative film, concentrates on the internal, emotional state of a widow in the aftermath of losing her husband, and the stages of grief - progressing from fear of loneliness to eventual hope. All of the artwork in this short is art that was left behind by Eli's father, as he was a professor of art history at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee prior to his passing. The film is shot in the Hayes residence, the location where the director's parents were married back in 1988 (five years before Eli's birth in 1993).
