Madonna - Material Girl (1985)
Adapted from the second single of her 1984 album "Like a Virgin," "Material Girl" features Madonna as a Marilyn Monroe-lookalike and musical star in early '50s Hollywood who becomes the apple of the eye of a determined film producer. Although Madonna's "It girl" character is initially ambivalent about the producer's amorous advances, the video intercuts with a musical number from her latest film, suggesting that the lines between fantasy and reality are becoming blurred by Hollywood decadence.
