Biography

Akitarô Daichi was born on January 15, 1956 in Gunma, Japan. He is a director and writer, known for Nâsu enjeru Ririka SOS (1995), Fruits Basket (2001) and Kamisama hajimemashita (2012). A native of Gunma Prefecture. He originally aspired to be a stage photographer, but signed up with Tokyo Animation Film for anime photography. A graduate of Tokyo Polytechnic University.
